Product Description
This specialty coffee originates from the fertile volcanic soils of Kirinyaga and Kiambu, two of Kenya’s most acclaimed coffee-growing terroirs. Cultivated by local smallholder farmers, the coffee cherries are hand-harvested at peak ripeness to ensure optimal sugar development and uniformity.
Post-harvest, the coffee undergoes the washed (wet) processing method. Following depulping, controlled fermentation and thorough washing remove mucilage residues, resulting in enhanced cup transparency, structured acidity, and a distinctly clean aftertaste – hallmarks of high-quality Kenyan washed Arabica.
The medium roast profile has been precisely developed to preserve the intrinsic varietal characteristics of SL28 and SL34 while softening sharp acidity and amplifying natural sweetness. The result is a specialty whole bean coffee with articulate structure, aromatic complexity, and a balanced sensory profile.
